Amy Wheeless works at the NW Energy Coalition, a nonprofit alliance of around 100 environmental, civic, and human service organizations, progressive utilities, and businesses in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and British Columbia. The Coalition advocates for clean and affordable energy, promoting development of renewable energy and access to energy conservation, consumer protection policies, low-income energy assistance, and fish and wildlife restoration. At the Coalition, Amy leads and coordinates policy efforts on energy efficiency and utility system planning in Washington State to advance sustainable programs and policies that work for all. Prior to joining the Coalition in 2017, Amy worked as a consultant on various environmental and energy issues for utilities, trade associations, governmental agencies, and nonprofits. Originally from North Carolina, Amy has called Washington State home since 2005.
