Leveraging Data for Energy Efficiency
A Big Data revolution is underway, with new tools for capturing and interpreting various streams of data opening up opportunities for operational improvements across industries. Among building owners and managers, there is a growing interest in real-time data to enhance energy efficiency. Implementing data-based process improvements across maintenance, energy and facility management requires consistency in reporting, and most organizations have yet to adopt a unified approach. Drawing on real-life success stories with meters, sensors, and HVAC data, I’ll demonstrate how to leverage building and energy data to drive efficiency improvements and support building performance goals.
Speaker Bio
CP has over two decades of expertise in the building controls space, with previous experience at Siemens, EMCOR and Schneider Electric. He made the leap into the software world when he joined Enerliance, an early pioneer of Load Based Optimization System (LOBOS) technology. Since joining Yardi in 2014, CP has supported the strategic adoption of energy management software and diagnostic tools in hundreds of sites across the U.S., applying his knowledge of building controls, HVAC systems, technology and integration. Having grown up in the desert southwest, he gained an early appreciation for the importance of HVAC performance, and today he remains passionate about the importance of energy savings in the built environment.
