Kaaren Daugherty | Keynote Speaker

"Forging Your Career With Arms Wide Open"

Kaaren Daugherty has 30 years’ experience with Puget Sound Energy (PSE). In her current role as Director Gas Operations, Kaaren leads the teams responsible for day to day operation of PSE’s transmission and distribution pipeline network. This includes 24/7 system monitoring and emergency response; planning and execution of compliance inspections and surveys; along with pressure control, corrosion control, instrumentation, and metering installation and maintenance functions.

During her career at PSE, Kaaren has also held leadership roles in Quality Management; Corporate Compliance; Standards; and Engineering. Kaaren has a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington, is a licensed professional mechanical engineer in Washington State and an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.

When not at work Kaaren enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, snow skiing, water skiing, and golfing. She is always up for board games, card games and puzzles. Above all, she treasures any time spent with her husband of 34 years and their two grown children.
