Seattle Public Schools Compliance with BPS and BEPS

Seattle Public Schools (SPS) has 105 facilities that need to comply with WA state’s Clean Building Performance Standard and Seattle’s Building Emissions Performance Standard. Compliance pathways differ for each standard, though planning for both necessitates overlap when strategizing for costs and schedules with such a large building portfolio. What does it take to collate data, implement building audits, forecast and plan for financing necessary for compliance, and take advantage of offered incentives? This presentation will catalog SPS’s progression with compliance for both standards, along with building data, audit results, and financing challenges.
