Shay is a globally recognized thought leader, innovator, and expert in the Energy Industry. With multiple decades of experience, she has a proven track record of driving transformation and growth, specializing in energy procurement, emissions management, and energy technology. Shay is known for her visionary strategy, pragmatic approach, with a focus on the intersection of sustainable, scalable and cost effective energy solutions.

Currently, Shay leads the Utility Distribution, Onsite Generation, Utility Services, Financial Recovery, Procurement and Energy Reporting teams at Costco Wholesale. Costco is a Fortune 50 company with over $250 billion in annual sales, recognized for its dedication to members, employees, and sustainable business practices.

In 2022, Costco Wholesale established key priorities for Clean Energy and Emissions objectives. To support these goals, investing in higher levels of energy knowledge and education became critical, leading to a close collaboration with AEE. Shay developed a series of "Energy 101" videos to educate employees on emissions, energy distribution, energy procurement, energy efficiency, and benchmarking, featuring the internal teams who are experts in various energy-related disciplines. In alignment with Costco's culture of leading on education, Costco hosts an annual AEE CEM course at its Issaquah, WA headquarters. Shay is proud to announce that the next course is scheduled for June 2026, and Costco has received permission to allow external participants to join.
