Conference Sustainability Intiatives
At AEE, we are committed to sustainability in all aspects of our events. We believe that by implementing eco-friendly practices, we can reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future. In partnership with like-minded organizations, we are dedicated to implementing initiatives that prioritize sustainability, from reducing waste and carbon emissions to promoting responsible resource consumption. Meydenbauer Center
We are thrilled to share the sustainability efforts undertaken by Meydenbauer Center in hosting AEE West. Meydenbauer Center has demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental responsibility through a variety of initiatives focused on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and staff education. Their efforts have not only resulted in tangible improvements, such as energy savings and waste diversion, but also in a culture of sustainability in their operations. In this report, the Meydenbauer Center highlights sustainable practices and the positive impact they have had on hosting events.
Shepard
Shepard is adopting sustainable practices to reduce their ecological impact.
Eco-Friendly Materials
Falconboard and conVerd Board, our two most commonly used sustainable substrates–are both 100% recyclabe while maintaining superior quality.
Partnerships
Polymershapes is our trusted partner for all things materials. All PVC materials are sent back to Polymershapes to be repurposed. We also send our waste ink to Giant Resource Recovery, where they recycle it responsibly.
Recycling Procedures
We have firm recycling procedures in place, both in pre-production, post-show disposal, and at all branch locations. If items cannot be recycled, we look for other ways to repurpose the material, such as using the old materials for packing and to protect equipment.
